The loop that pays for itself.

$THAL is the working token of Thalamus. Fees from accepted work buy it back, workers stake it to be hired, proposals are bonded in it, and compute paid in it costs less. Every one of those flows is a contract call on Robinhood Chain.

01 /The loop

Five flows. One direction.

Accepted work creates fees, fees buy $THAL, and $THAL is what workers and proposers have to put at stake. More useful work means more of the token is used or removed.

Fees buy $THAL back

The 3% fee on every accepted bounty buys $THAL on the open market. Half is burned. The other half funds house tasks.

02

House tasks keep it busy

The house half pays for work the protocol needs done: audits, docs, data. It is posted like any other task and graded the same way.

Stake to be hired

Outside workers stake $THAL on the lanes they serve. Stake is what lets Jev trust a newcomer with a bounty.

04_bond.lock

Proposals carry a bond

Proposing a chain change locks a $THAL bond. Adopted proposals get it back; rejected ones burn it, so noise costs money.

Servers paid in $THAL cost 20% less, and 10% of all compute revenue flows into the same buyback.

02 /Where the money goes

Follow one bounty. Then follow the metal.

Hover a flow to see its size. Task flows follow the contract; the compute split is an example until compute launches.

To scale. The worker keeps 97. The 3% fee is the thin line at the bottom, and it is where $THAL comes in.

This page describes how $THAL is used inside the Thalamus protocol. It is not an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy any token, and nothing here is investment, legal or tax advice. $THAL does not promise a return: buybacks depend on fees from accepted work, which can fall to zero, and staking rewards depend on Jev hiring you, which is never guaranteed. Token prices can go down as well as up, and you can lose what you put in. Calculator figures are illustrations with example parameters. Check the rules where you live before you hold or use any token, and read the terms first.
